About the Founders

Active Love was founded by Ingrid Gruener Luft and Antonia Trius during their high school years in Florida, inspired by their shared belief that life is most meaningful when dedicated to helping those in need. With a deep passion for contributing to the human rights movement and fighting against acts of violence toward victims, they created this non-profit to turn their vision into action. Everything they do through Active Love is rooted in compassion, driven by the conviction that the value of giving is not measured by its size, but by the thought and love behind it.

Today, Active Love is led by Ingrid, the primary founder, who continues to pursue this mission with unwavering dedication. Now a student at Cornell University, she channels her passion for advocacy and victim support as a member of the Human Trafficking Task Force and as President of Students Against the Sexual Solicitation of Youth. Joining her in this journey is her sister, Anya Gruener Luft, a student at Stanford University, whose contributions have become a vital part of Active Love’s ongoing efforts to create meaningful change. Together, they carry forward a legacy of love and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
